PASSPORT TO SAFETY

Passport to Safety is a national health and safety awareness program that aims to revolutionize thinking among youth about on-the-job safety. Through “Passport to Safety”, students challenge an on-line, no-fail “test” and earn a transcript verifying completion to attach to their resumes.

Take the Passport to Safety Challenge

Passport to Safety is not a substitute for job-specific health and safety training. Passport to Safety is also not intended to substitute or replace the many courses and programs offered by education systems, not-for-profit and other training providers across Canada. Rather, it is specifically designed to reinforce these programs by providing nationally recognized, tangible credit to young people for taking and passing them.

BENEFITS
Every person who successfully completes the on-line Passport to Safety test can print a certificate or transcript that indicates his or her achievement.

PROGRAM DETAILS
The Passport to Safety challenge is made up of six sections with ten questions each. These sections are:

  • Supervisor and Employer Responsibilities
  • Worker Rights and Responsibilities
  • WHMIS, the Basics
  • Common Workplace Hazards
  • Controlling Workplace Hazards
  • Health and Safety in the Workplace
